Christmas Wish List

So this morning I looked at the date and realised it is December 13th, and only twelve days until Christmas!

I couldn’t believe the 25th was coming up so fast. As I’m currently working in Miami – where it’s 24 degrees and sunny – it barely feels like winter, let alone the middle of December!

Despite there being so much to do before the holidays, I love the festive season; nothing sounds better than an excuse to catch up with friends and family, while tucking into mouthwatering feasts and wearing fabulous cocktail dresses.

So today I compiled this list to get me into the festive spirit. Christmas is definitely not about receiving lavish gifts, but a girl can always dream 😉

One Thing You Want:

This Anthony Vaccarello dress is red hot. I love how the cold, metallic texture of the chainmail cut-away contrasts with the fabric of the dress. Considering the season, the asymmetrical cut is appropriately playful: simultaneously modest, with its hard shoulder and full length sleeve on one side, as well as sexy and exposed on the other. WANT.

And FYI, there is a capsule collection in a limited edition red available exclusively at Colette in Paris, and again, at our old favourite, the Webster in Miami. See it here.

One Thing You Need:

At this time of year it is essential to have a good moisturiser, whether you make it to the beach, the slopes, or you’re at home for the holidays, your skin will be vulnerable to the change in weather. I recommend this moisturiser from La Prairie. It’s lightweight, hydrating and has SPF 15.

OK. Excuse me while I make this the Two Things You Need because I can’t go without a new lip colour for the party season. For me, red is the only way to go. I love this “Rouge Fatal” from Tom Ford. It’s dark, it’s sexy and would be the perfect colour for a kiss beneath the mistletoe.

One Thing You Dream of Having:

At any other time, it would be almost impossible to answer this question, but for the past few months I have talked nonstop about this Wesselmann at Galerie Gmurzynska. I saw it first this year at PAD in London and then happened upon it again last week at the Art Basel Preview. It’s fate, I’m sure of it.
