As couture week comes to a close, I’m looking forward to having a well deserved rest. Busy days and late nights can take their toll on your complexion and if it weren’t for my carefully edited selection of beauty products I’d certainly be looking a little worse for wear. Here’s my guide to looking polished – whether you’re at couture week or not!

SkinCeuticals B5 Hydrating Gel

Tom Ford Beauty Illuminating Primer

Going in an out of air conditioned show venues will wreak havoc on the skin of even the most polished of fashionistas. I like to carry a bottle of wonder product SkynCeuticals B5 Hydrating Gel in my handbag for emergency hydration. Enriched in B5, it aids tissue repair and hyaluronic acid replenishes hydration – perfect for moisture lacking skin. I like to follow this up with the Tom Ford primer, which increases cellular vitality and gives my skin a natural glow.

Tom Ford Traceless Foundation SPF15

Chanel Poudre Universelle Libre Natural Finish Loose Powder

A perfect foundation is an absolute must – choose correctly and you can skip applying concealer. My favourite is the Tom Ford Traceless foundation – its unique 3-in-1 blend covers all the bases: lightweight, SPF and it has a skin-nourishing complex. Its clever micro pigments deliver seamless and undetectable coverage – perfect for avoiding any last minute touch up mistakes! I like to fix my foundation with a powder from Chanel for a long lasting base.

NARS The Multiple Multi-Purpose Stick

NARS Bronzing Powder

Illuminators are a must have for tired skin and the NARS Multi-Purpose stick is a perfect travel companion. Not only does it create a shimmering glow above cheekbones, it doubles as an eye colour and a body highlighter too. Its creamy formula is easy to apply and it promises fail proof application – even in taxis between shows! When my skin is in need of a warm touch I turn to the NARS bronzing powder – it’s a natural tan with a gold pigment.

EYES AND LIPS

MAC ‘False Lashes’ Mascara

Kevyn Aucoin Matte Lip Colour

A great mascara is essential for opening up tired eyes and the MAC ‘False Lashes’ product is perfect for groomed eyelashes without clumps – make sure you use eyelash curlers first though! I love a colourful lip and the Kevyn Aucoin matte lip colour is moisturising and endures hours without bleeding or fading. If you’d prefer a glossy lip, simply apply a gloss coat over the top!
