Five Products for Stress-Free Travel

photo 3 copy

Sure, everyone loves a holiday; lazing on the beach or by a poolside with a mojito is anyone’s idea of a good time. However, the stress filled days beforehand – running around finding passports, buying suncream and finding that long lost pair of sunglasses – are miserable at best. It’s taken a long time to refine my pre-flight prep (and countless failed attempts to avoid excess baggage charges – oops!) whether it be for a modelling job or spontaneous trip abroad. As I prepare to jet off to Asia for the holidays, I thought I’d share some of my holiday beauty favourites to make sure your packing prep is just as carefree and easy as your time away.

La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL 50+

Sunscreen. It’s a word that causes anxiety in many women – get the wrong formula and you’re an oily mess or worse yet, a sand-magnet – but going without is a major no-no. I love any product that serves more than one purpose, which is why I love La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL 50+ compact. Not only does it provide SPF 50+ protection, it’s also tinted, which means you can leave your foundation at home.

Label.M Travel Sized Shine Mist

When going on a weekend break you don’t want to be burdened with a massive suitcase –  whenever I can, I try stick to hand luggage! For minimal packing, travel sized products will become your best friend – and I couldn’t live without my shine spray for evening-ready locks. Once home, it’s also handy to slip in my handbag for last minute shine boosts!

NARS The Multiple in Na Pali Coast

On holiday, I love going makeup-free (once I have my first hint of a holiday glow, of course) but I always like to bring along a few select products that can fix me up if duty calls! One of these products is also one of my everyday favourites: NARS “The Multiple” in Na Pali Coast which acts as both a creamy blush and a subtle lip and eye colour. Plus the shade is warm enough to flatter a tan AND work on brightening up skin for those on a ‘staycation’.

Trilogy Hydrating Mist Toner

Skincare is extra important on holiday but I don’t like to bring my bulky 5 step cleansing routine! The sun works wonders in clearing skin and the sea is an excellent exfoliant but hydration is key: Trilogy do a great range of moisturising products with dual purposes, such as the Hydrating Mist Toner. Not only does it smell great, it also contains stress-busting Geranium, so it’s the perfect companion to help you unwind! Plus, it’s only 100ml so is small enough to fit into your hand luggage – win-win!

St Tropez Gradual Tan

I like to build up a little pre-season glow before I set my pasty white foot on that golden sand! I turn to St Tropez Gradual Tan which also acts as a moisturiser, while building a healthy and natural-looking tan, so you can step out streak-free and feeling confident. Plus it smells good – something that can’t be said for all faux-glow products!

Zuca Clear Make-up Bags

Because I’m on the go so much, packing would be an absolute nightmare if it wasn’t for my new obsession with these clear make-up bags from Zuca. Intended to be used as part of a make-up artist’s kit, they come in all different colours, shapes and sizes and mean I can easily store my holiday essentials together so they’re ready to go – perfect for someone as unorganised as me!

Now, tell me what are your tips for stress-free holiday prep?

Thanks for the post – I always love your beauty posts! I love Embroylisse Lait Cream – it’s a great primer, moisturizer, and masque. Great for long plane rides too that dry out your skin! xxx
