Florals for spring? Are they a classic or a cliché?
Miranda Priestly in The Devil Wears Prada – played by the fabulous Meryl Streep – famously snipes “Florals for spring? Groundbreaking.”
Perhaps they aren’t groundbreaking but that didn’t stop Christopher Kane when he presented his SS14 collection, which saw the floral motif reimagined: notably, dissected and detailed in text-book fashion. Even Miranda would be impressed.
Today, I mis-matched a casual, floral print tee from Kane’s collection with a sophisticated, pleated skirt from Topsho. Maintaining the contrast, I completed the look with a military-inspired parker and offset it with luxe accessories.
