On Wednesday afternoon – with a quick hop skip and a jump – I flew to St Tropez, just in time to attend the inaugural Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation Gala. The event, in aid of global conservation efforts to protect the wild, promised to be an incredible evening and it certainly didn’t disappoint.
From Left to Right: Victoria Bonya, Dean & Dan Caten of DSquared2, and Alina Baikova.
Raising an incredible $25M, the event opened with an auction, the main feature of which was a sublime sculpture of a gilded unicorn by Damien Hirst (€4.5 million).
Elsewhere, one lucky bidder won a walk-on role in Leo’s next movie ($2.4M) and another, a guitar belonging to the legendary Bono – the U2 frontman also performed at the event, along with Robin Thicke, Julian Lennon and DJ, Paul Oakenfold!
I wore a beautiful, deep green Elie Saab floor length gown for the occasion and later changed into a cute Miu Miu minidress for the after party.
