With London Fashion Week winding down I was thankful to get a little more “me time” on Monday morning. “Me time” = fast asleep in bed. Seriously, the snooze button on my alarm clock has never seen so much action. Eventually however, after dragging myself from my slumber, it was back to reality and time to get ready for Peter Pilotto.
Peter Pilotto always has a seriously stylish FROW, so this was no time for dressing down. I chose to wear one of my favourite Peter Pilotto pieces, a heavy-stitched dress with ridged seams and a vibrant, floral-inspired, geometric print. Of course, every girl needs a little drama when it comes to Fashion Week, so I paired the dress with one of the summer’s most controversial trends – athletic socks with sandals. Topped off with a structured handbag and of course, a statement pair of shades, the look was Front Row-ready and so was I.
For the collection, the design duo behind Peter Pilotto took us on a sartorial acid trip – bright, fluro colours were applied to intricate embroidery and micro-mini dresses mixed up to three prints, layered together. My standout piece was the neon, patterned dress below and left – I could almost hear it calling my name as it sashayed down the runway…
Fresh, youthful and whole lot of fun, Peter Pilotto was definitely one of my highlights this season.
Check back later for coverage of one of the biggest shows of the season: Tom Ford.
