There’s something in the Los Angeles air, or perhaps it’s in the sunlight, which makes me feel less restless.
Dust – from the desert, from the car – softens the noise, and the hazy warmth dulls sharp lines. Time passes more slowly here.
Somehow dislocated from the moment, I’m able to take my foot off the pedal, clear my headspace and refocus my energies; reprioritising what’s most important for the road ahead.
Here I am; stopped in downtown L.A. with my friend, Ben Tsui. While the streets were deserted, Ben took his camera out and began snapping away.
