Yesterday was Day 6 of New York Fashion Week and it was showtime for one of my favourite designers, Michael Kors at Spring Studios. For me, the designer oozes subtle sex appeal and has a real All-American vibe to his collections. I loved the gingham prints and florals, but also the clean-cut shirt and skirt looks were really strong. Certain pieces have gone straight to my wish list – Bring on 2015 already!
My outfit for the show, was a beautiful royal blue dress by Michael Kors, of course, which I paired with a silver Fendi clutch and Saint Laurent heels. I finished the look with silver jewellery, including a drop ear cuff.
I wore my hair in a backcombed pony tail and kept my makeup light, with a nude pink colour on the lips and then used a metallic eye-liner to open up my eyes.
Taking a break before my next show, I slipped into this easy-to-wear, casual look. While the simple blue shirt is the perfect foil to this printed Topshop skirt, I’d hate to look predictable, so the outfit wasn’t complete without some tough metal accessories, which is where my Valentino studded pumps and M2Malletier bag came in!
Check back tomorrow for coverage of my final day at New York Fashion Week!
For now, it’s time to get some rest.
