They say there’s no rest for the wicked, and yesterday – despite being Sunday – was no different. I started Day III at New York Fashion Week with a personal styling session – backstage at the Samsung Lounge – hosted by super stylist, J. Logan Horne, and Nicky Hilton, who was celebrating the launch of her style tome, 365 Style. (Click here to see a photo!)
Following that I dashed back to my hotel to change in time for one of my all-time favourite shows, Diane von Furstenberg.
The setting for the show was beautiful with a huge wall of windows opening on to a view of the Hudson River and New Jersey beyond. With the sun blazing through, the walls were brilliant white and the heat was intense – appropriate, given that the collection was inspired by the Côte d’Azur.
Just before the show was due to begin, Diane got down on the floor to scrawl her design ethos across a poster board.
Armed with my All Access Pass I went backstage before the show for a sneak preview of the designs. I spotted some familiar faces doing the same, including VS model Lily Aldridge, GIRLS’ star Alison Williams, and Paris Hilton.
Post show, I headed back to my hotel for a quick change, a bite to eat and then off to Versus x Vaccarello and on to the after parties…
Check in later for Day 4!
