Piaget is known for its expert watchmaking and exquisite fine jewellery. It’s a brand I’ve always admired and so I was delighted to collaborate with them on the release of their beautiful new Mediterranean Garden Collection. You don’t need to tell me, it’s a true Cinderella story!
Tasked with interpreting four exquisite designs as I would wear them, this is the first release of a series of images that I can’t wait to share over the next few weeks. Stay tuned!
Inspired by the French Riviera, the fine jewellery collection invokes the luxury and the spirit of the Cote d’Azur with deep Mediterranean blues, light tourmaline and exquisite marquise diamonds.
Celebrating the free spirit of the 1960s and 70s, the Piaget Mediterranean Garden collection recalls a period of glamour associated with screen icons such as Brigitte Bardot, Sophia Loren and Grace Kelly. With its bold creations, Piaget was the brand of choice for the international jet set who enjoyed the hedonistic retreat of life on the Riviera.
While I’m not sure if screen siren Brigitte Bardot had to be escorted on and off set by burly bodyguards that watched her every move, I do know that I’m glad I was. Wearing over a £million worth of the most precious jewellery this side of Zurich, would usually have me feeling a little vulnerable, but thankfully, with Hans and Ulrich by my side I still felt pretty fabulous. It wasn’t clear if they were there for my safety or the jewels, and I fear it was the latter, but I was glad to have them in any case.
