6 – Step Summer Skin Rescue Routine

Between Paris couture week, modelling in Ibiza and a trip to the South of France, July was a busy month and my skin was exposed to the elements. However, a career as a model requires me to keep my skin in tip-top condition no matter what, so I’ve put together an easy six step plan to recover photo-ready skin!

Step One: Cleanse

I begin with Priori Advanced AHA cleanser, which moisturises internally to help revive tired-looking, sun-soaked skin. It comes in a pump bottle too, which helps prevent leakage in hand luggage or suitcases – perfect for when I’m on the go! Directions: Apply to moist fingertips and lather over face in small circular motions. Rinse with cold water to tighten pores and pat dry with a clean facecloth.

Step Two: Scrub

If I’m in need of a deeper cleanse, my go-to exfoliant is Clinique’s 7 Day Scrub. It works hard to smooth skin, buffing away any imperfections and blemishes that the hot weather induces.

Step Three: Pamper

To refresh and nourish my skin, I use Aesop’s Parsley Seed Cleansing Mask. The clay draws out any deep lying impurities in the skin, while the aloe vera helps to minimise pores without leaving your skin feeling tight!

Step Four: PH Balance

The sun and sea can play havoc on your skin: to regain your natural PH balance I like to use one of Zelens PHA+ Bio Peel pads. They smooth, replenish and hydrate all in one step!

Step Five: Polish

Now that my skin is cleansed, buffed and balanced, I like to use Kiehl’s Ultra Face Toner on a soft cotton wool pad to prepare my skin for moisturiser.

Quick Tip: Toner is also great for cooling down skin that’s seen a little too much sun!

Step Six: Moisturise

To finish, I use a dash of SkinCeutical’s Daily Moisture cream, which is lightweight and absorbs easily – an absolute saviour for summer skin! For a little summer glow (and some essential SPF), I’ll blend in just a little Urban Decay’s Naked Beauty Balm: it gives a gorgeous hint of colour and provides a lovely base for makeup.

Quick tip: For an extra boost of moisture, SkinCeuticals Hydrating B5 Gel is super effective – it’s ideal for sensitive skin, as it soothes, moisturises and repairs!
