Why it Pays to Play Sport

“Hey Emma, I go to an all girls’ school, but I want to meet boys. What can I do?”

Ah, a girl after my own heart! Growing up, going to an all girls’ school myself, there were few opportunities to mix with boys. But not one to let a religious education and the wrath of teachers to get in my way, I took every opportunity to get to know the boys from the school across the way. A little interest is healthy, right?

It wasn’t long before I discovered a very valuable secret that I’ll share with you now: it pays to look like you play sport. Particularly, mixed sports like tennis and athletics.

Why?

Think short skirts, even shorter shorts, and summer days. Shared sports facilities, team mixers and away days…

But what if I can’t hit a ball?

What you may lack in hand-eye coordination, you can more than make up for in coordinated separates, sporting colours and A-line tennis skirts.

Taking inspiration from today’s question, I decided to reinterpret the classic tennis outfit, swapping the prescriptive whites for an all black look.

In case someone actually wants you to take part, the wedge sandals say I have ZERO interest in chasing after your balls.

As does the jewellery and full face of makeup. *Who me?*
